I'm running Windows 11 and this is working fine consistently for doing what I want to do. After it loads I connect to my desktop scroll through my steam library and launch the game I want and it loads and runs in vr for me just like with the cable with no problems. Instead I load the streamer app on my pc, and then load virtual desktop on my oculus.

I select the airlink as the choice instead of the cable, and it connects to my computer but I don't click launch for airlink.
#Steam vr wont work launch compositor Pc
It would say it was connected to my computer and everything was green, but when I would select launch for airlink it wouldn't connect at all and if I selected running steamvr in the oculus library on my pc instead of the oculus it would say there were hardware errors. When I tried to connect to airlink that procedure failed. Once steamvr was running I'd pick the game I wanted and run. My procedure for that was to connect to the cable, give permissions to access the computer and use the link cable and say to use it then load SteamVR in the oculus library.
